Madison

Ok, a lady never reveals her age, right?  Needless to say a dear friend that I graduated High School with contacted me to see if I would take her daughters ---- pics.  Its your guess, no and it is not grade school. Needless to say, Maddie, her daughter was a "Rock Star, " but more importantly an amazing girl!  We hung out downtown and got to play! She will be heading to OU next year with her major and life plan in check!    I was honored to be apart and document this time and excited to see were her journey leads  her!

The Burgesses

Love this couple!  We have known Brent and Hannah for a long time, actually before they had kids!  So great to see their family grow and be invited to talk photographs of them in this season of life.  Brent is an awesome drummer and Hannah is super crafty and creative (www.plumtreepaper.com).  They have two precious children Aiden and Eleanor!   We had so much fun!  We hope to do it again!

 

Chelsea + Austin

We loved being apart of this couples day!  It was such a great celebration of love, friendship, gifts and dancing. Chelsea's father had passed away so she cut out a heart of one of his work shirts that he wore forever and sewed it to her dress to show that he was with her.  They are so thoughtful and loving to one another and their day could not of been more special!  

Addison Joy

I got the opportunity to document the birth of Addison Joy Connell in August.  It is such an amazing experience to watch new life come into the world and we were thankful to be asked to be apart of it.  Lauren and Tom and their families were so great to watch as they walked together through this even with a few hiccups, they were given beautiful AJ!   Enjoy!

I have not done a pregnancy shoot in a LONG time.  It was so great to be able to do one again!  Lauren called and asked and I jumped at the chance.  I normally shoot outside in available light and often avoid indoor shooting.  My husband challenged me to do it since we did not want her outside in 100 degree weather!  She will be having a little girl, Addison Joy-Aug. 3rd.  So thrilled to have been able to take photos of her and Asher, her son. (He is a cool dude!)  We will be documenting and posting their new journey of bringing Addison into the world as well so keep checking in!   Enjoy!

Jamaica Beach, TX

I have had the same woman cut my hair since I was 12.  Yes, I had an affair on her here in there through college but I always came back.  Momma Kay has become her name since I have had my two kids.  She lost her husband Kenny a year ago,  and we have seen her and her daughter Chelsea walk through such a difficult time with such class, courage and strength.   They invited us to document the spreading of his ashes in Jamaica Beach, TX which was a place he grew up fishing and going to into adulthood.  We were so honored to be asked and to be invited into this very special time.

As difficult as it is,  I am reminded there is a time for everything....  A time to let go is amongst one of  the hardest.

Chelsea & Austin

Wow, we had such fun with Chelsea and Austin!  In the last couple of years,  Austin finished Law school while Chelsea finished nursing school while embarking on new jobs they have walked through the loss of a parent.  Alot!  Now they are on the journey to marriage and invited us in to document them!  They both are swing dancers and LOVE to have fun, they show such class, creativity and love for each other.  So glad to be able to be apart of this time with them!  Enjoy!
